Hi Duane, would love to hear much more about your free sale model. We’ve been doing biz on eBay for 4 years in a niche market. Got to bronze level Powersellers fairly fast but lost it due to illness, etc. Right now, have limited time and resources but we’re still selling and doing only about 6K/year. Would like to get to 25-50K.

By the way, thanks for the ebook and videos. All have provided better and more specific info on how to succeed on eBay than everything else we’ve ever read or seen on the same subject. Your ‘free’ stuff, in our opinion, has provided more value than stuff we’ve paid for.

Please keep the good info coming and it would be appreciated if you could provide more ‘advanced’ info ( like on driving traffic, finding good suppliers, the ‘free/sale’ model, etc. ) as well as the basics.

Nice video, thank you. Just one point, when you talk about “structuring” your product, do you mean the way the product is sold through the sales blurb, or are you talking about branding the product? Your videos are excellent, I really enjoy them. If you’re going to create a video series, then go for it. I’m currently changing my own ebay business around by introducing more branding. You’re right about trying to compete on price on ebay. It’s a recipe for disaster.
The reasons you can’t compete on price are because there’s big volume sellers buying cheap and selling cheap, there’s companies using ebay to dump stock on and there’s just people who don’t know what they’re doing and are selling at a loss.
I never compete on price. Branding and structuring are the way to beat price. I’d love to see more videos from you. They’re very informative.

Sally Milo introduced me she does design work for my stores.

The “seven sins ebook” was a good read and made me really look at the way my listings are presented. My listings are by far the the best looking of all my compeditors, but they play the under cut game which has a huge effect on my sales. I need to structure my listings better and add several tweeks to get more people to trust my store and reputation over the under cut gang.

I would like to know more about the free sales method and more.

I loved your 7 Deadliest eBay Sins ebook, which I recently read.

I have sold off and on ebay for about two years. It was how I made money for Christmas and birthdays. I was working part-time doing sales, but the management was replaced for the worse. I was looking for away to reap the same income without having to be away from my family all the time. My husband suggested ebay. We’ve had great success for starting small and I’ve earned more than my previous monthly income and hoping to expand that.

Starting small, we have about $700 in profit in our first month. By February, we hope to open a store, but for now we do 80% Auctions, 20% Fixed Price.

Your ebook fell into my life at the exact moment I needed it to- when those around me were prompting me to commit many of the 7 sins. Thank you for validating what I already knew and teaching me some things I didn’t. It is wonderful of you to share your wisdom with us!

I was pleased to see the link to this video in my inbox today, immediately following it! Glad I did. I would love an in depth guide to structuring, packaging and delivering in the free sale model.

I have bought, but never sold anything on ebay and have been a member since 2003. Now that I am nearing retirement age, I have been looking at ebay guru’s that tout more or less the same “how to” information I can find on ebay’s website.

I always saw a problem of how do I compete with sellers that drop their prices so low there is no real profit and I can’t remain competitive? This problem seems to be prevasive on ebay. Your solution is of great interest to me.

Right now, i’m a stay at home mom and i want to excel, but i need to know what i need to do. I do sometimes undercut myself. I would love to know all that i can to be successful.

I am wondering why you are doing all these for free, but I am very glad that you do.

I’ve been selling on eBay for 7 years and silently watched as my competitors grow really big and leave me behind to compete with the new sellers who really lower down their prices.

I have been consistently a bronze power seller (used to be silver) but my business doesn’t seem to grow. I would like to find out which areas I can improve on before I am swallowed by the new sellers.

Please continue with your quality free stuff, I have already spent a ton on a lot of stuff with very little progress!

I have offered free shipping before, but find it hurts my bottom line, because if you include the “free shipping” in the selling price, EBay gets percentage of that and so my fees to them costs me more. I think the incentive of free shipping is inticing to the customer, but I can’t absorb the cost. How do you get around this? I would be interested in more info. Thanks.

I have been playing around with free shipping and know that is the way to go. Ebay is going to get there cut of shipping anyway. I have also played with sales and pricing. I would like help with figuring out how both together work. I know first hand how anytime I make major changes to my store sales seem to flood in for a few days. I would like to be able to keep this a constant.

I am very interested in learning about the structuring the free sale model. I am also interested in increasing my ebay net from about $2K a month to about $5K/mos.

So far I buy & sell stamps and coins, and plan to be an eBay Trading Assistant specializing in those. My market is different in that most of my products are unique, each requiring separate photos, and some of them have a VERY limited supply.

Once I sell the items I don’t want to keep, I’ll be open to find hotter markets (and lose the TA aspiration).

I so admire your way of sharing the wealth, that I’ll gladly help in your course development any way I can.

I currently am running just over 15000 fixed priced listings and do between 50-75,000 per month in sales. I have been looking to increase this number to 100,000 or more. Do you have anything for already established sellers that might help to get to this number? Your articles are extremely helpful, many of your suggestions are things that we as a company are already doing. I have found some that we are not doing, but much of it seems geared towards beginning sellers (I wish I had these tutorials when we were just starting out)

We already have a blog, have published over 5000 articles and have an established website with (somewhere between 9-11million per year on it) as well as a solid base started on Amazon.com where we are pulling in between 8-15,000 per month.

I am looking for the next step on eBay to reach my 100k/month goal. But am not sure which direction to go.

Any suggestions would be awesome!

I see posters like above that run 15000 auctions at one time, are they using a drop shipper for this? Do they have deep pockets and large warehouses for their merchandise? I think I need to learn where to buy products, or find a drop shipper..

I keep thinking that I cannot sell my actual product on eBay because I cannot compete with sellers who sell for less than I what I buy my product for from the manufacturers. My products on eBay have always been used items. Now I am ready to start listing my real products, that I sell on my website, thanks to your information.

I watched all your videos, they are great. I just started selling on Ebay. I don’t have money to invest on Wholesale items and I live in Puerto Rico. The shipping is double from here. I need to use a drop shipper. I’m having a hard time finding one thats not there to rip me off. If possible can you help me and email drop shippers that are legit and don’t charge to sign up? Can I start trying to sell with minimal packaging upgrades, since I don’t have the money now and later add them? Any advice on how I can find out the hot niches? Sorry for all the questions, I’m new to this and am desperate to make money on ebay.

i watched the videos. all are a great help. I need help. I just started on Ebay. I have to use a dropshipper due to the fact I live in Puerto Rico and shipping from here is CRAZY. If possible can you email me a good drop shipper that doesn’t charge to sign up. Also i don’t have money to make items for free in the packaging stage. Can I start without and add it later? In your opinion is it worth EBAY store ? I’m now posting individual items, or will it cost me more?
