How To Structure Your Offer To Make Money On eBay

By Duane Hope

Okay, so the next step in the Six-Figure Foundation is knowing how to “structure your offer” correctly so that you’ll make money on eBay like a 24-hour ATM machine.

There are 4 specific pillars that we use to structure every offer with in all of our eBay businesses. And when these 4 pillars are done right – you’ll be able to charge more, sell more and make more money than your competition who sells the same product at cheaper prices.

As a matter of fact – once these 4 pillars are structured in correctly, the only known way that you can possibly stop sales from coming in is to ….close your eBay business down!

But – let me give you a warning of caution here……

Do NOT fall into the 98% crowd of eBay sellers who assume or believe that they are already structuring their offers correctly using these 4 pillars. The reality is – they’re not!

Now I didn’t say that to be ugly or mean. Instead, I said that simply because I want you to take what I’m sharing with you to heart so you’ll fall in with the top 2% crowd who knows how to make money on eBay using these 4 pillars.

So do me a big favor and listen to what I’m sharing with you (every word) that way you can go right out and make more money than you have ever done before.

(Side Note: Again, there’s no way to teach this amount of meat in a 2-3 minute video. So I’ve broken it up into bit size chunks so you can digest it easier. Make sure you watch all 5 videos so you will really understand how to “structure your offer” so you can charge, sell and make more money than your competition 8-) )

Duane, another great vid. Glad to see you are over your sickness.

You mentioned in one of you earlier vids that you can increase sales on the back-end. Would you elaborate a bit more on how to do this perhaps in your packaging vid?

Still following closely,

-Bryce :-)

Hi Bryce,

Welcome Back!

I appreciate you taking the time to watch the vids and posting your thoughts. And yes, I’m glad to be back on my feet as well….

That’s a great question about the back-end sales video. I probably wouldn’t incorporate it right now in the “packaging vid” simply because it might be overwhelming.

But – it’s such a great idea that if I get enough interest from others I will be happy to create a future video covering “Getting Rich On The Back-End”.

What do you think about that title :-) ?

Hi Melanie!

Great to see you…..

And thanks so much for your compliment and sincere appreciation! That really means alot and has helped me tremendously through these difficult times.

FYI: I actually made these videos 4 different times but I looked like I was drunk because of all the antibiotics and you could tell that my heart just wasn’t there.

But I think I got it after the 4th time (at least I don’t look drunk anyway – I hope!)…

Don’t hesitate to watch them again and if I get enough comments, the “Packaging Your Offer” Video will absolutely rock your world (in a good way :-) )

I can’t believe, with all the books I’ve read on ebay, that this stuff was never covered. Maybe it was, but not explained clear enough, or step by step. I appreciate all your time and hard work.

Thanks…..George

Hey George –

You’re very welcome :-) … And thank you for taking the time to watch them and for posting your thoughts. I really appreciate you!

And you’re right – you’ve probably never heard of this or at least not seen it presented in this structure. The main reason is simply because those who’ve been teaching out there – just don’t know.

And that’s why 98% of eBay sellers don’t know about “structuring your offer” either.

But I plan on changing all of that :-) ….

Take care George!

Duane,

I have found your advice absolutely invaluable and incredibly insiteful.

I haven’t implemented it yet, but I realize now what I was doing wrong when I began my foray into selling on eBay. I can’t believe it was so obvious that I didn’t think of some of these things myself. I do hope that you do some videos on your “Auction Market Blueprint”.

I am definitely looking forward to continuing my eBay seller’s education with you.

Hi Dave,

Good to hear from you and thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts (I appreciate you!).

Listen, I did it all wrong myself (still doing stuff wrong today) when we first started selling on eBay. But looking back now – I realize that I was getting prepared to make money on eBay in a massively huge way…

I share that because if you find yourself being hard on yourself like I was – then don’t. You’ve just been getting prepared like me and success is just right around the corner :-) .

Actually – pat yourself on the back and tell yourself how proud you are!

Dave, I believe in YOU!

Hello Duane,

This video was helpful for me because i was making the mistake of implementing no guarantees to my buyers, but i have went in and started making changes so I would like more info on the packaging and any other great tips.

I’m a stay at home mom for right now and i would like to see my business blossom out of control. And also to get more traffic into my business.

Thanks SO_O-O- much, God bless and happy holidays

Hi Denise,

It’s great to hear from you. I’m grateful that the video was helpful. And double grateful for you taking the time to let me know that they’re helping. That inspires me more than anything!

Guarantee’s are very powerful and will absolutely help you make money on eBay as long as they are set up right.

Remember, the entire purpose of the guarantee is to remove all risks, remove all fears and instill buyer confidence.

Ask yourself…..

“What are the biggest fears or concerns that my market has when purchasing this item that I’m selling on eBay”?

Now you have your answer and you build your guarantee around that….

Have a great week!

Hi Clara,

It’s great to hear from you!

The course is coming along fine. I wanted to release it by now but unfortunately I’ve had some set backs and I’ve had to go back into the video and audio studio to re-record simply because I wasn’t satisfied with the final viewing.

I’ve also been overwhelmed with my coaching program, launching two other eBay test businesses and plus I’m a husband and father first.

But through it all I hope to be ready in February…

And thanks for the wonderful compliment. It’s very humbling :-)

Blessings – Duane Hope

P.S. I will notify you as soon as the Secret Auction Formula course is ready. Thanks for your patients and understanding!

Very informative. I could see why so many businesses go under. Customer service out there is awful. I’d be interested in your comments about “feedback” on Ebay. I always leave it first as a seller. The customer will then also reply with a positive feedback for me. Should it stop there or should I respond to the positive feedback? In other words, is there any way to get better use as a seller out of the feedback system? Thanks

Comment by Duane Hope
2011-06-29 20:45:18

Hi Kim,

Great Question…..

Once someone leaves us feedback, we do reply.

I do this for two reasons:

1) To let them know I “appreciate” them

2) To continue building a “relationship” with them.

Make the “reply” very personal – not generic. Do not use it to “promote” yourself, your products or your business. Many sellers do that “thinking” that other buyers will see their reply and rush to buy their products.

That’s hogwash and it defeats the whole purpose of “building a relationship”.

Think about it this way…..

If you bought something from me and left me a wonderful feedback and then I replied to your feedback saying “Another satisfied customer bragging on our products and great customer service” - would that “speak” to you and continue building our relationship?

Would that “convey” how much I appreciate you?

How would it make you feel?

Remember, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care….. ABOUT THEM!

I hope this helps :-)

Blessings,
Duane

Hi Duane,

This is some great stuff and thank you very much for taking time out of your day to make these videos, I for one, really appreciate it.

I do have a question on guarantees. I have some very specific products for the Christmas market, knowing that people will be purchasing for presents, the item won’t be opened until the 25th of December, I’m offering a 60 or 90 day money back guarantee.

I’m also giving free FedEx shipping. My vigorous quality control is in place and the cost of shipping is going to be about $12 per package.

My question is, if someone does have to make a return, do I also offer to reimburse them for return shipping or is it acceptable to have them pay it?

thanks in advance.

Hi Michele,

Great question!

You can do it either way depending if you have enough profit figured in for “return shipping”.

If you know what your return ratio is – then you can figure that into your “retail price” by adding that percent (%) in.

If you don’t, then it’s acceptable to have the customer cover the return shipping charges. Most folks are okay with that :-)

I hope that helps…

Have a super great day selling on eBay!

Blessings,
Duane
